Can you educate me on, or just recommend me some half decent knives?
I've got two cheap Sabatier ones with their tungsten carbide "Edgekeeper" guard that's made them blunt as old boots (Worse than useless). I've asked my dad to get me a of nicer one for Christmas but I don't know how to tell good from bad (E.G. Damascus looks and sounds nice but is it worth it?)
I want a bigish one (About 8 to 10 inches) that's good for general cutting of stuff.
I should probably get (And learn to use) a steel too.
