Spent Saturday with my 18v angle grinder cutting legal. I was using my 4.0Ah battery and eventually it died.
I get home and stick it in the charger only to be told by the indicators on the charger that I now have a dead battery.
A bit of googling indicates that the cell volts could just be too low for the "intelligent" charger to kick on and the option seem to be either applying 30vdc across the battery pack 2 or 3 times for 20s a time or 4.5 v on each cell current limited to 0.5A for 30s or so.
I've never played with Li-Ion and you do hear horror stories!
Thoughts?
Cheers
Peter
