Been using sponge rollers to apply the Jotamastic. Very mindful as to the wet film thickness on application, and by following this it dries well.
However a problem I'm encountering is upon application. The paint has a finish whereby the marks of the roller are left behind, a sort of mat/satin tactile surface. I dare say it's probably due to the tacky viscous nature of the paint.
If I really load up (saturate) the roller a smoother, glossier finish is the result but at the risk of far exceeding the recommended thickness per coat, possibly around 5-700 microns at a guess.
Is it possible the actual sponge roller I'm using is at fault? Might a different roller allow a thin coat to be applied but with benefit of an aesthetically pleasing gloss finish?
Thanks
