It depends what you expect for your money...........it certainly won't be "German Quality" like it says on the ad.....its definitely Chinese.
A few people have had hit and miss results on here with buying Chinese stuff of Ebay.....some of them have fell lucky and got there monies worth, whilst others have had nothing but trouble...
Do a search for a member called TonyWilk, I am sure he wrote a review on his Chinese tig.
At that money its prob worth a punt.....you may get lucky...but don't be too upset if it breaks down within a week or so
It's Chinese and it's cheap. DC only so it won't weld aluminium. It is only a tig though, it's not a tig/mma machine like a lot of inverters are. It has HF start which is a bonus. They also do a 200A DC version which comes with the MMA kit as well as the tig kit, those sell for about £160-200 so still very cheap. For diy use it should be fine. The good thing is that if it does break, parts do seem readily available direct from China at very good prices!
i think the cheap tigs are worth it.
i have one at home and one at work, we have 2, our 5 grand welders are next to it and it will do a weld as good as the migtronic and cig ones. some cheap ones are dc welders only though so unlike the 5 grand ones it wont weld alloy.
you can import your own for less than $250.
Weve done thousands of dollars of stainless welding with them no problems at all, it will pay for itself on the first job. wed buy more of them.
china welders seem ok. theres lots of different names on them but they seem to come from the same place gangling welders china, you pay over double here so why not import your own why pay double warranty is no different 2 years from manufacturer but importer / resaler gives you 30 days how come ?
Sick of getting ripped of for the dear ones that break down sometimes anyway.
