Hi all
Been reading this very useful forum for some time now but only just signed up.
(as many do when a problem finally arises)
After nearly 20 years of faithful service my old Clarke 120E is now playing up
Still works but is down on power, used to weld 1/8th plate happily with wire feed around 6 on max.
Now it just copes with 2mm and the wire speed has to be around 4 on full
power.
So before I shell out on a new one is there any common (cheap fix) failures
on these machines or is it as I expect the transformers dying ?
Thanks,
Nige.
