Hello
Last May i completed a Tig aluminium course at my local college (Lap joint flat and vertical, T fillet flat and vertical, butt weld flat and tube to plate flat) and didn't touch a Tig torch until last week when i started a Tig Stainless Steel course..but to my horror i struggled to weld a T fillet joint all night!! It took a good hour or so last night to finally get in the groove again and this shocked me! In my arrogance i assumed that i would be able to walk in and weld any joint i was asked to!
This has proved to me the old adage of 'Practise, practise, practise' so i am thinking of buying a Tig welder to 'keep my hand in', so to speak!
Please can anyone advise me of how much i should spend?
Ps- at the end of 2009 i also completed the same weld tests as the Tig ali but on mild steel so that just added to my confusion/frustration!!
