We have a winnerWater leak on the torch?
Just slightlyThat's ******ed then!
Weldtec speedway. Don't be loosing your cooler whilst using it tho because the parts aren't cheap to replace!
That's the beauty of the speedway the handle ain't round. It's got a "speed bump" on it for grip. I like it but because like yourself I'm often using a switch I had to take the speed bump off because it made the handle very cumbersome. My ihead torch is a stunner to use. All the advantages of a flex neck without any of the grief like shown in your pics. Seriously expensive though even compared to a speedway.Thought about it but I just can't get on with round handles I am afraid.
Told ya flex necks are a load of junk. That's the copper coil that's broke by the look of it. Get a few bends in em and they always break. I've bust more than I care to remember. Get a ridged neck and learn to adjust to it.

The 3 button thing can be adapted into a torch switch
Have you thought about a thumb wheel clip on. They can be bought. Ck do a number of adjustment thingys for torches but again pricey. They have actual usable ones though. Ones you can alter the current mid welding without shaking the torch all over the place. You got lots of options but personally I'd avoid flex necks. They will all fail eventually if you flex em.
looks like the dog been chewing it ,get a weldcraft one it will last longer have seen some pretty awfull stuff with brass instead copper parts some gas lenses tooAnd my lovely WP20 with its clothese stripped off.

Speed bump is more like your usual euro grip. I think they even do one with an inbuilt switch.Thought about it but I just can't get on with round handles I am afraid.
Yeah the roasting wouldn't of done it any favours but had it been a ridged neck it would of survived or the head would of anyway because they are much stiffer thicker pipes. The cable is usually the thing that suffers from a dry hot spell.

Heads are cheap enough, just get a head and don't forget to order two new single ear clips and you're up and running again.
You won't hurt that pump hood trust me. The noise will simply be to do with the fact they don't draw water too well so it sounds rattly when running dry but it's just a big gear in a water tight case. They are quite happy run dry and pretty much bomb proof. That's why I like them a lot. They are nothing like the procon in the respect there is no graphite to cook.Yes I reckon the cable is toast, when I eventually noticed the cooler was off it had actually boiled the pump on the cooler dry, so shows how hot it got. Thought the cooler was also dead as when it got switched back on it made a hell of a noise, shouted to the guy to switch it back off but just as he was doing it the noise abated, obviously the water got back into the pump and it has been quiet since, so thankfully the pump survived
Might look into it if the replacement doesn't live up to expectations.
Have plenty of the clips, bought an assortment a while back
As said above I think the power lead may be toasted as it seemed to need more current than previously and today when I went back to the WP26 if was way hotter on the weld than the WP20 had been at the same current setting.
Not all is lost, I can salvage one of the 8m pipes for extending the spool gun on the R-Tech, whether I will ever use the R-Tech again is another matter as the EWM is such a lovely thing
