Ok, one for the car mechanics, agri guys, mobile welders etc.
Iv been discussing this with some friends and fellow self employed guys.
I have a small business repairing Agri equipment and small plant etc aswell. I use my home workshop when I have to, but 90% of the work is completed from the van. The work is a mixture of servicing, repairs and a lot of fab/welding work.
A mate of mine believes that to make a good living and to pay for a job done well £35 per hour is the minimum to charge. This is to run vans, pay bills and obviously turn a profit.
I currently charge less than this (£25) but find I work a lot of hours to survive.
What do you guys charge & do you feel its enough? We're all working to make a living after all!
Thanks
