thought i would say hello
my name is simon, i am a hobby bodywork lad in my spare time and for a day job i deliver for a company that supply's the bodyrepair industry.
i have tryed my hand at alot of mig welding in the past but seeing as i have sat and read through literally every one of your tutorials i instantly feel like i can do a better job...
i have a car in my lockup at the moment which i am fitting with new rear arches and inner arch lips aswell as a pair of front wings so i would like to get some tips and tricks...
i used to own a old SIP 90 welder which was absolutly useless, would overheat after a inch of weld on minimum setting lol..., however as payment for spraying a friends car he gave me a brand new clarke 160EN which is absolutly fantastic, it has had .9mm gasless wire in it as that's what it came with however that reel ran out so i have bought a 5kg reel of .6mm gas wire and i am going to get a bottle of o2 on monday so i can get to welding these arches in.
looking forward to having a good read and becoming part of the family
cheers, simon
