Hi
I'm sure I have posted on here before, forgive me if I repeat myself. I've got two very young boys they are bloody mental and incredibly time consuming.
So Im Dan I'm in Northants, I like old tractors old cars stationary engines anything old and with some history. I
have a series landy that Needs a fair bit of repair welding work doing to the bulkhead. I bought a sealey mighty mig 100 about 4 years ago. Then the kids came and it only came out of the box for the first time about six months ago.
Now that was the first time I had ever gone anywhere near a welder. I attempted to patch some chassis bits on a defender. I thought it seemed to go ok but looking back im not so sure.
Yesterday I actually managed to spend a day messing about in the barn with the tractors and thought I would use it as a chance to practice some welding before I take an angle grinder to the landy bulkhead. That was the second time it's been out the box. My welding is dog s**t. I can't stand being rubbish at something. I understand that the prep work is very important and personally I think I'm good with that.
I am desperate to get good at welding and do my bulkhead myself, it's not the cost of getting it done its the satisfaction of doing it myself that drives me.
Long story sorry hope your still with me. Basically I live in rothwell in Northants. I work in hemel in Hertfordshire. Can anyone near either of these places teach me to weld??? Or recommend someone or somewhere that can??? I work shifts so that will probably bugger things up to.
Anyway i have bored the life out of you. Apologies.
Please help
Cheers
Dan
