best to stay away from drum/wind up extensions for anything that needs a lot of power
fuse blowing also depends on usage, our clarke 150 is nearly always used on a straight 10m extension (have to, the torch is so short!) and no history of blown fuses even when used on full power although we aren't doing long runs
I learnt that not all fuses are equal, our compressor blew quite a few 13amp fuses during cold starts in winter, I kept replacing them and eventually found one that has been in there 18 months now without blowing, now the trip pops out but that is a lot easier to reset
