Hi,
I have just bought a 1969 MG roadster project and for obvious reasons need to invest in a mig welder. Thankfully, I found this site first. My brother in law owns a garage, he will be helping me and has advised me to get a murex welder. He has used one for several years without any problems. I believe that if I spend a bit more money to get a better job, I could always sell the welder when I have finished. I have made some initial enquires but the sales people that I have spoken to have said that the latest Murex tradesmig with the slopping fronts are not as good as the older flat fronted units. Can anyone advise? I have also seen on ebay an older flat fronted tradesmig that has been reconditioned with a 6 month warranty for £350.00. Could this be a good buy?.
P.S. What a massive help this site is to a beginner.
