Hi Guys,
I am completely new to welding, I joined a few years back with the intention of starting but forgot how involved having a baby is ;-). I work offshore but don't have anything to do with welding. I have two land rover SIIa's aka rust buckets that need work and my wife is a florist who wants some frames made up, so I have a few things to get on with and not a clue how to do it yet...
I have a very basic little Clarke 100eMkii, I used this site last time so source all the equipment I would need, so have a regulator, I have masks and filters that will fit below the welding mask, all of which I purchased based on recommendations from on here. I have some "welders clamps" which I haven't a clue how to use properly yet, hammer, wire brush and then the angle grinder with flapper wheels etc, and of course a fire extinguisher (for those good times). To ensure I don't give up before even going I went and picked up a Hobbieweld 5 bottle yesterday.
I think I am almost ready to go, I just need to source some metal (I am in Petworth, West Sussex if anyone knows of anywhere), I apologise in advance for any very simple sounding questions. I would also be willing to pay some beer tokens to anyone who fancies meeting up sometime that could help get me going/improving.
