Just got hoses and connectors for my Harris 43-2/49-2 combo, and after mounting and checking for leaks, I fired up the torch.
It was a little difficult to adjust, but after fiddling around, I got it going. Cutting in a 10mm steel plate, the torch farted and didn't want to cut anymore. I removed the gogles and saw a flame comming out of the head where no flame should be and turned of the torch.
Here comes what I don't get, although the torch farted, it never vent out, just lost steam. Shouldn't it have given a big boom when the head broke ? and shouldn't it have stopped burning ?
Anyhow got to buy a new head, can't have a torch that don't work, but ideas of why and how it happend would be apreciated.
