Hi folks,
I don’t normally post things like this on a forums I like to keep to the technical, but as there is a lot of really seasoned experienced guys on here, I thought I would get some views.
Basically, I am my own worst enemy. I find it hard to say ‘no sorry thanks not interested’ when someone comes to me with a job that I know is going to cause me grief/out of my comfort zone/don’t have the exact right tooling to make the job go smoothly/ etc etc.
But I feel my own conscience is telling me never to refuse work – and to that end I end up taking on work I’ve under-priced and therefore don’t enjoy doing, or its just plain hardship for no real reward.
Or perhaps, you simply do not want to deal with the person, or his b/s.
So, how do you say… NO? as my dad always said to me, its very easy to be a busiest fool. However, I still feel like it more times than id like to be
