Just a question, Why would any part in a wheelchair require hardfacing? They are straw coloured with the end tip painted pink, cuts with a hacksaw 1/8"dia quite hard to bend. when I got them I was told they were eutectic 181 hardfacing rods came from a wheelchair manufacturer they seem quite springy.
Wheelchairs at the time I was given them were made by government owned co. with Reynolds 531 tubing and all brazed joints. There is no part of the wheel chair that required hard facing but they did contract work at the time for other factories,, it could be something left over from that.
