I have a mobile generator / welder unit which supplies up to 250 amp for a built in stick welder and has outlets for 240v and 110 volt electrics. The 240v is a 16amp plug. It is a towing jobby, quite old but works ok. Only thing is it is noisy and whilst the weather has been good I have been giving it a full service and tart up. I find that the cabinet that covers the engine/electric area seems to have lost all of its sound proofing hence the noise. The engine is a Lombardi diesel with a cooling fan and so is not the quietest. I slaved in a second silencer and routed the exhaust well away from the machine with some flexy tubing I had. The cabinet is about 4 foot long and about 54inch around the two sides and top and so need quite a bit of the correct sound proofing as it gets quite warm in there I reckon. Has any body any ideas who or whom I can contact to try and get some of the correct Matting.
