So basically, I have a Clarke 151TE now and it's died on me, our garage got flooded and I've fired it up and its spitting and not giving me a decent weld and the wife has agreed to let me buy a new one after taking it to a few places and them telling me its not worth the cost to fault diagnose.
So, I have about £5-600 to purchase a welder, but the more I research the more I am going around in circles.
I need it to be able to do body repairs from panels to chassis as I have a T2 VW Baywindow that needs love..
Therefore what are my options? I've seen Parweld, RTech, Esab, Weldteam all banded about but theres a lot of threads and I'm just getting lost....
So can someone give me some guidance on what the best options are please? I'm looking at a long term investment so if theres something just out my price range but has the option of being fixed if it breaks please let me know.
Cheers,
