Hello, let me introduce myself.
My name is Jarno (after a Finnish motorracer) and I am a 39 year old from the south of the Netherlands.
Worked as a welder/mechanic for a couple of years, now am 1st mechanic in a can making plant.
My hobby's are diverse, one of them is fabricating stuff from metals , and I have a small side business doing welding/fabrication stuff for others.
For my welding I have 2 machines.
One's a One-Welding 325EXT, which is a Rtech/Everlast/Free-tech under yet another name.
I bought it from the Belgium importer, as the Dutch importer (Freetech brand) does not offer 400v 3 phase models for sale. This is setup with Abitig torches, one a watercooled 20, the other is a aircooled 26.
The second one does not get much use, but can be handy when welding on location, as it saves me from having to bring the watercooler.
The watercooler I have is a DIY build I made years ago when I bought my first DC welder, using 120x240mm PC watercooling radiator with 2 120mm fans, a Sureflo caravan pump (with a bypass, as the torch's cooling hoses are so small the pump stalls itself) and a Aliexpress flow/temperature gauge unit I added recently.
The other welder I have is an older Rowac.
Rowac/Venvulas essentially purchase core parts (PCB's/wire feed motors/transformers etcetera) from other name brands and make the remaining parts (housing etcetera) themselves to offer a cheaper alternative to the real deal.
The one I have is essentially the older non digital Lorch Saprom 905,a standard/pulse/twin pulse capable Mig welder. This is setup with a couple different torches.
For Aluminium welding I use a 4 meter aircooled Binzel PP24D Push/Pull, but am currently rebuilding/refurbishing a watercooled PP401 with 8 meter torch package. I bought this from the Dutch Ebay/Marktplaats.
It was a wreck visually, with the hose covering in tatters, and the grips marked with welding spatter, but for under 70 quid shipped to me,and another 100 quid for the refurb parts I will be ending up with a 8 meter watercooled Push/Pull torch that sells for shocking prices when new.
For light duty welding of steel I have a 5 metre Binzel MB Ergo 24 and for heavy steel work I use a watercooled Binzel 401D. (I am a fan of Binzel, as you could have guessed owning 6 of them )
Most metals that need wedling also need to be cut/shaped or formed, for those purposes I have a Bewo coldcut saw, and a Femi 120 ABS bandsaw. Also have a Chinese 70a plasma cutter , a chinese metal folder and a Chinese Optidrill drillpress, with a more powerful 950 watt motor, the stock 450 watt motor didn't have the oomph to cut something "heavy" like a 10mm hole in 4mm thick barstock. (My cordless drill was more powerfull)
Have mostly Facom handtools, and Hitachi powertools.
I wanted to join this forum to gain/provide knowledge, and hope I am welcome here, and can make a positive contribution to this forum.
