already asked this to a couple of hands, but I think one of the ex UKWs vets might help (cant post it on there any more), I'm welding forged adapters onto Hardox toe 600 1" 1/4, I'm trying flux corded A5 type wire (bohler union 71) 1.2 as its semi positional work, parameters are 22.8V at around 220amps, work has been pulled to 150C pre heat, everything is welded in stringers, side wall and fusion look good, but I'm still not happy with the splatter, tried parameters up down etc, but they seem as good as, is this normal or am off the mark some ware, if I cant make the job look more tidy I'm going back to the 7018s, ohh gas shield is 78% 20% 2%.......
