Hello
I thinking of building a flexible tig 17 cord.
Does anyone made one ? i know one or two members that build one .
I need to know were to buy the parts in europe to make one. The torch itself i have need all the rest.
Any hints?
thanks.
Maybe it will be cheaper, but if I built it at least I know what materials are put on it. I don't trust the Chinese sellers, just because of business model ( dog eat dog no after sales) if I buy a flex cable the copper will sufice for sr17 or not even for sr9? They can cut conner in building the cable. Sergei you bought a 16mm cable (+- 5mm) you stripped the cable and then unwind the copper strain. So you put 1/2 of those 5mm copper.
Torch parts I took in China. But not all. Therefore, I had to figure out what to make the "cable-argon" connector from, with a minimum tool. The cable section was excessive for #9 torches - 16 mm2, which is a lot. Plus, cable flexibility and straightening of tightly twisted cable cores. Straightened cable, less twisted rings.
