Hi
Hopefully not a dumb question - are flat faced body hammers supposed to be perfectly flat? I bought a new flat faced Sykes Pickavant hammer online and the surface is slightly concave so if I put a credit card against the surface I can see a small gap along most of the hammer face. Seems to me to defeat the purpose of buying the flat hammer but I'm asking because it is supposed to be a good brand item so don't want to chase a refund if its an intentional design.
I looked up their website and found this comment on one of their flat faced hammers...
• The heads have a tapered centre allowing the shaft to expand into the head & are secured with a double wedge
Appreciate any help
Adam
