Hi - I am also new and am planning to buy my first MIG (the wife said Yes!). I will only be using it occassionally on my Motorbike, for Garden Projects and the odd few fabrications for the local Drama society.
On the motorbike side there is obviously a bit of frame work - but there will also be some thinner tin ware to be worked on (and from what I read, that means I have to consider the minimum current as well).
I have seen on the internet at Sealey 130 AMP S0771 at an affordable price (I have also seen a S0771-L, is there a difference?). I have also seen a Clarke 135TE Turbo fo £85 more. What are your recommendations? For my light work load would the cheaper Sealey suffice or should I spend the extra £85 (don't tell the wife) for peace of mind. Or maybe there is another brand or Amp size that you may recommend?
As a matter od interest, the Sealey on the internet site - in a nice bright yellow - does not seem to appear on the Sealey web site. Is that normal or should I beware?
Thanks in advance for any advice - Jon
