Just wondering if anyone can help or point me in the right direction. I've got this Mac Tools (Stanley) MIG 165 Turbo.
The welder would not arc up, Power would turn on, fan would power on but when the torch was pressed the fuse would blow in the house.
I sent it off to my friend at a welding factory for his electrician to look at it who said it was the circuit board. We ordered a new one (after two months tracking one down) and had it fitted only to be told the transformer was gone and to chuck it. I'm not 100% how accurate this diagnosis was as the circuit board was given to me in the box, it was as if they'd had enough of the welder!
Any idea's where I can get it tested in the South West (Bristol) I've been reccomended to Pantools. Is having the transformer repaired an option or is it going to be mega expensive? I genuinely have no experience with welders!
ANy help would be appreciated!
Thanks
Mike
