just purchased a rage 2 multi purpose chop saw,any comments ,good or bad much appreaciated.
Gloves and long sleeves, they spray out hot metal chips.
I think they are brilliant but I only use it to cut up pallet bearers. I try to avoid nails but it doesn't matter if I hit a few. Believe it or not hard wood can cause more wear than the nails!
It is VERY noisy so wear ear muffs. The trigger is a pain literally as it won't latch so it hurts after a while.
I did a few test cuts on steel angle and aluminium - it works but a bandsaw would be better. I found with aluminium that chips will almost weld themselves into the teeth and need digging out.
Keep your receipt safe - my first one suddenly started sparking and popping after 9 months light use. Amazon sent me a new one with a new blade!

The blades are 355mm - couldn't find any that big in screwfix or am I looking at the wrong thing?
