long time lurker, loads of really useful info on here. I have bought a newish used 105en on a whim , wanting to learn to weld. I have used various tips from the forum for setup. As others have said wire feed seems v. Sensitive, pigeon poo to ok ish in a tiny turn! Here's my daughter's birthday pressie sorted: View media item 9118Ignore the stick practice to the left, I just had to pick up a used ewm Pico 162, as I want to weld some 5 and 6mm angle for a project. Getting happier with MIG, and being able to look at the puddle. This is is 5 mm bar, hot rolled not cleaned, run at 2 Min, wire speed 5.5 , argoshield. On 2 max or any more wire speed it sounds too harsh, stubs and seems too spattery? Any slower wire speed and It burns back/ welds the tip. I know it's not structural, but I hope it's heading in the right direction? The other side of the bar is mostly pigeon poo beads as I got wire feed issues sorted!
