try harder just pretend your life depends on itBelieve me, I tried that.
I've seen a few hanging off with tiles stuck on and half the wall after kids had used it as a climbing framesilicon sinks on? maybe the modern way, can't say I'd be happy if that was done for mine, all the weight on tiles cement and old ropey plaster.... seems a proper bodge to me...

I'm on with daughters bathroom refit in to a walk in shower . had to renew a couple of joists and the floor along with renewing the plasterboard wall . that's before I startedI was trying to get it off without damaging tiles BS. I had to admit defeat in the end. Only two broken tiles though. The whole bathroom was a cheap job. The bath had been leaking around the tap end and rotted the floor. Had to strip the whole lot out to replace the floor. Then reinstalled properly

Thats the problem....i dont trust the tiles. i am using coach screws into the studding.Have you ever try to get a basin off a tiled wall that's been siliconed on ???? you normal end up pulling the tiles off the wall and stay stuck to the basin.
