Hi,
New to this forum but have a query.
I am fabricating a pair of steel gates with an arched top and 20mm SHS infill bars.
The gate has a double top rail using 40x10mm flat bar with two mid rails also 40x10mm flat bar.
The 20mm SHS infills pass through each rail.
I've welded the horizontal rails onto the frame in order to mark each hole to be drilled.
I've already drilled out the two mid rails with a mag drill and a 25mm rotabroach cutter, as these rails are flat.
The problem I have is drilling out the holes on the arched part, which the mag drill doesn't adhere to nor does it drill at the angle required.
Can anyone advise a method that I should be using, that I'm obviously overlooking?
Also, can anyone advise of you can use a 27mm rotabroach to widen the existing 25mm holes, or will this damage the cutter?
Thanks in advance
