Thanks for the info Paul, so basically something like this? maybe a better quality one though picture for reference. The manual says must be fitted with a 32 amp plug, but you dont find many of those in non industrial premises, you wont get the wires into a 13 amp plug, I've fitted mine with a 16amp plug and use a short heavy duty 13 amp to 16 amp adapter lead, so it is effectively running off a 13 amp plug, I run all my welders like this without any problems at all, even the 200 amp tig set will run flat out without popping fuses. make sure the mains supply is as short as possible to avoid voltage drop, which inverters do not like at all.
I doubt I will ever run the plasma at its top end, I'm using it on 3mm stainless today and all good so far.
I use those on site , but someone keeps replacing the 13 amp fuse with mig tips which is totally unsafe and you shouldn't do everThanks for the info Paul, so basically something like this? maybe a better quality one though picture for reference.View attachment 96317
I'll retrieve it from the "storage" area this weekend and let you know. Nothing needed Paul, you've paid me more than enough already with your advice.Very kind of you, happy to pay for it and post of course.
Do they have back up 2 stroke engines for charging the batteries?
Weird quoting yourself but hey.I'll retrieve it from the "storage" area this weekend and let you know. Nothing needed Paul, you've paid me more than enough already with your advice.
