I have a load of 5251 sheet in both 2mm and 3mm that needs welding into boxes.
(Currently using ac tig for these)
I have been trying to find a decent box/pan folder to save a having to weld at least 4 of the edges but not had much luck so I figured I may as well spend out the savings for the folder toward a new toy!
I have never used mig on alloy before so I do have a couple of questions..
Is pulse mig ok on 2-3mm?
Will the wire for 5251 feed directly from the machine or do I need some sort of push/pull gun?
If I need a water cooled torch for my tig will I need water cooling to do the same amount of welding with mig?
Are there any recommended migs on single phase (32a max) supply, prefer smaller inverter type.
