In work we have a lathe that doesn't currently have any cutting coolant in it, due to it being emptied as they didn't want the hassle of doing bacteria and ph testes, im trying to convince them to have coolant again but I'm wondering can you have coolant that won't need testing, maybe fully synthetic.
The other option I've been given is using a very light oil to use as cutting fluid and pump round to avoid having any water in it, would this work OK?
