I need to buy some more cutting discs (115mm angle grinder type).
Aluminium oxide seems to be the standard type.
Those rated for stainless seem to be about 1mm thick, whilst those sold for "steel / general purpose" seem to be about 2.5mm.
Is there any reason to not use the 1mm discs on mild steel?
(I'm mostly cutting up 2mm mild steel scrap for practice TIG)
eg Is there anything in the disc material that would cause the sort of contamination that would cuse problems with TIG?
