I'm currently giving my cut master plasma cutter some much needed attention.
It currently has a hard wired earth lead, I'm going to fit a Dinse connector for the earth lead and make a longer lead.
The way the panel mounted Dinse plug mounts to the chassis, means that the chassis will be earthed as well.
I followed the existing lead within the machine, and altho it does get bolted to the chassis, earthing it, there is a resistor fitted in line.
Would earthing the chassis via the Dinse plug cause me issues?
I'm still running a wire from the Dinse socket to the earthing point on the pcb like the original setup.
I really hope this all makes sense.
