I had a few bits kicking around, and I need a parts washer. One of reasonable size is far too much for my pocket to bear, and after all, it's only a dirty bath.
Enter the bits....
I have one of these, that I will cut in half, and turn upside down. Handily enough, that leaves the immersion boss on the base, and an 11" immersion heater will fit nicely. What was the hot water take-off at the top now becomes the draw-off for the feed to the pump.
I also have a plethora of blue HDPE barrels, one of which already had its top removed, so that was handy, and a sudden realisation that an old kitchen sink basin should fit in there nicely...
The upside-down hot cylinder will fit nicely into the barrel, and the pump (an old CH pump might provide enough flow, but I'll see. No biggie if it doesn't, as I have a submersible if necessary.
The pump will fit at the base of the barrel, inside. The whole mess being self-contained, so that in the event of any leaks, it won't go anywhere.
Control wiring, timers, thermostats, etc to be added as needed, of course.
