Probably origionally made from 28swg stainless (around 60 years ago) they measured up at ~ 0.35mm...

For scale the pins that are bashed in the ply to hold things in alignment are 1.6mm TIG wire. Pulsed @ 175Hz, 18A peak, 11 background, 50% pulse width which was a touch high- could have done with some 0.6mm MIG wire but had to make do with 0.8mm.
