I have seen a couple but I would have expected to find some builds on youtube. They seem.extremely conspicuous by their absence.I too use a fly press.
Home made tooling from square hss lathe tools.
What jigs did you use??We used to do them on a fly press at the boiler factory notching 20g for making panels and 16g for making frames.
The place had all it's own jigs made on site in the tool shop. There were lots of fly presses, they were like mediaeval torture machines when you were on piece work. What jigs did you use??

I guess that's like everything .. its simple if you know how. . Every other punch needs to be hardened it seems. Unlike many people I struggle reading books or looking at pictures. You tube has been a salvation for me...Paul G said: ↑

Probably absent because of their simplicity. It's just a square punch in a square hole.
How you hold it will depend on the press that you intend to use.

Cheers mate...I was sorting photo's into albums today and came across these.
1/2" for the bed and 1" for the punch, ground at an angle so it cuts with a rake angle.
The 3mm plate on top acts as a back stop.
