On my torque wrench there are two scales, and a viewing window for each of these scales/readings. One is labelled as metric scale and alongside the numbers are kgs-that is easy enough to follow.
The other scale is stated as English scale??. When the wrench is set at 3kg (the lowest setting) the “English scale” reading is displaying 20. But, 20 what? 20 pounds does not equate to 3kg What does it mean?
When I have solved this, I shall be further confused because the small bolts have to be tightened to a torque of 8Mn
