How good is this stuff if a few coats are applied?
Basically messed up being inexperienced in the fabricating game!
Remaking a gate for a client. However I've used some of the old gate which is galvanized steel and welded it to fresh steel.
I now need the whole thing re-galved. Galvanizers told me they would need to strip old galv off to galv it properly.
Think he quoted 60P per kilo to remove old galv and 45p per kilo to galv it. You can imagine the cost I may occur. (Not sure if the 60p was all in, but reading pasts posts on here doesnt sound like it)
However I've used the cold spray to touch up a few welds in the past. Could I get away with useing the cold galv on the rest of the frame rather than sending it to a hot dip galv?
Im looking to give it at least 3 solid coats and then a coat of hammerite.
