Im looking into buying a MIG welder as at the mo i have an Aldi Arc welder (40-160A), which seems to do me well for metal > 1.6mm thick
Im going to be build myself a haynes roadster which requires a lot of welding. The steel used is 1.6mm 25x25mm box section. There is also 3mm plate to be welded onto the chassis.
I've found a Clarke Pro 90 at a resonable price of £85.
I was wondering if this welder would be up to the task of welding the chassis of the car and to use my arc welder for the thicker stuff?
