Hi,
I recently bought a 165te for a few welding jobs. It was a secondhand bargain, the only flaw being that it didn't work! I've looked at the pcb, and it is in a poor state. One of the capacitors was dangling from one leg, and one if the tracks on the pcb was damaged. So I've soldered the capacitor back on, and soldered a wire across the break in the pcb. After refitting it, it still doesn't work. I get nothing from it at all. I've tested the torch, but there are no clicking relays, or any activity on the board when the torch trigger is pressed. Another inspection of the board makes me think that there is a component missing. I'm hoping that someone can help me identify what it is... Having looked at a photo of an identical board, mine seems to be missing a component that should sit above the E0795 writing (below the relay)in the second photograph. Something has either been deliberately, or accidentally knocked off. There are solder holes where the component used to be!
The top image shows a pic of a photo I've found of someone else's board, the second one shows mine.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
