Just to say I got a 160 from weldequip. The instructions do say that you must not use a standard 3 ping plug, but I'm sure this is just some corporate **** covering. In any case, since the ring main through my garage runs on the wall, and I currently only have a single socket, I took the opportunity to pull that out, stick in 2 double sockets (one of which has a built in RCD) and a 16A socket. The 16A socket with a built in RCD was over £100, but I got an inline RCD with a 16A plug at one end and a socket at the other for about £25. I now have the 160 plugged into this, and it works great. Have done a few full power tests and no problems at all. That said I'm sure it would have worked fine of a standard 3 pin.
