Hi all,
I've just purchased a Clarke 160TM to replace my knackered old SIP 150 Turbo. (I've been using the 150 today on some 2mm section, and found I needed current setting 5 to get any sort of pen.... and the duty cycle seems to have gone away).
So, I would like to ask if anyone can tell me the settings I should expect to use on the 160 to butt weld, say, 2mm section?? I would just like a ball park figure for when I first use it. (0.6 wire and Co2, though I will be starting an Air Products contract next Friday.)
I only ask this as I think my 150 has never been right, as I've never been able to weld with the wire feed on anything higher than 2??? Even on say 4mm plate. It sounds like a machine gun, and tries to push the gun out of my hand!!
Regards
