I've not welded for a good few years, my father in law has the above welder which I have used in the past however the last time I used it, it had been quite neglected and it was horrible to use!
The wire kept jamming and I'd have to strip it down to clear it every couple of minutes.
I'm pretty sure the lining needs replacing, as did the wire which was a bit rusty.
How easy is it to replace the lining? Or would it be better to buy a new torch? Anything else that should be changed?
The job I have to do is to patch in the sill on our campervan - the metal is quite thin. Am I likely to be able to do the job with the above welder if I can sort it so it doesn't constantly jam? I take it the lowest power and a low speed would be best? If I'm buying wire would 0.6mm be best?
