Recently my welder wire feed started playing up. I stripped it down and replaced liner etc to no avail.
I then stripped it down and it seems the motor is getting erratic voltage to it. I then disconnected the wiring to the motor and connected it direct to my multi meter.
on slowest wire speed setting my meter is jumping from 2.8-5.3 when trigger is pressed.
on highest wire speed setting the voltage barely fluctuates. 17.8-18.1v
So basically it feeds fine on position 10 but not position 1-6.
what part of the board could effect the voltage feed and make it fluctuate so much.
it is impossible to get a decent weld when the voltage/wire speed is so erratic at lower voltages
thanks in advance
