I have one of those standard linishers, like Kim purchased from Paul the other week - this kind of thing -
Mine has no fancy base though - its screwed to a bit of wood, with a gate hinge supporting a weedy motor (i cant complain, as the setup was £100 cheaper than the one in the photo! : )
Anyhow, i now have a load of wood to finish and it stalls if i press too hard.
I need to look though my motor stash, but ive seen anything from 1hp for the unit, to 1/2hp per inch (ie 3hp) mentioned on this forum (i used the search!) and im wonering - thats a fair range.
So, to real life - who has one of these units, and what size / rpm motor do you have (with what dia pulley) and are you happy with it, or would you rather it was slightly different?
Thank you.
