Hi all,
I forgot that I left some rusty tools in a citric acid solution for over a month and they've become a solid whitish mass. Some of the springs I put in had zinc on them as I wanted it shifted for safe welding so I'm aware some of the crystallised gunk could have something to do with this.
I'm looking for something I can use to dissolve the hard scale as some of the components I have in there are too delicate to use force (trust me it's caked on well and good and nothing short of hitting it is having any effect).
Any ideas on something safe I could use to remove the scale, something i could dip them in?
Thank you in advance.
