More skill with grinder than welder

I have a question for you guys,
Obviously the Lorch and portamigs are quite popular here due to circumstances. That does not mean that in both categories there are plenty alternatives. For my question, I'll however use the Lorch line as an example:
My machine is an HT180AC/DC with foot pedal. The foot pedal certainly simplifies welding most materials and I believe it adds more value than all the features available in the T series. The question is thus: Should one choose a slightly lower feature machine with foot pedal or choose the more expensive plant without a foot pedal?
Between the T and the HT I think only the MACS is really worth it. The HT180 however is not watercooler compatible which is a sure miss...
