Was just changing over the Y splitter as I need to take it back to work, it's a nice decent one made by Gas Arc, few months old, and I noticed what looked like grease in the end of the 3/8th nipple. Anyway opened up the valves, absolutely smothered in some sort of silicone grease. Not ideal in your inert gas lines. Hopefully it hasn't traveled down into the machine or up the torch. Not sure whether to change my argon line now?
Opened up the flowmeter and that seems fine. Just disturbing that I found the grease moved from the needle valve to the nipple a distance of about an inch.
