I have not acually bought it yet. I'm still thinking (or hazitating). The problem is that I can't find any info about it on the net. I contacted ESAB and they thought it is an Italian brand now called "Cemont". Their webpage was no big help though. Could't contact them on email eather.
cemont? they have been mentioned here previously, iirc they are *not too bad* but I can imagine spares *could* be a bit annoying should you need to go down that road.
personally i wouldnt touch it unless it was very cheap
Ask weldequip or Diy welding either of them should know who made it. It has no euro torch connector which suprises me, as i am assuming a 190s is about 190amps ish, normal on machine of that size they have euro torches
For you in sweden an Esab unit should be good for spare parts, which is one of the things you have to consider when buying second hand. The availability of spares
Hi magnus saw your query about the above tried to reply and joined the diy to help you.
Well as far as i know the cemig stands for chicago electrical-mig
chicago illonois usa, where the blues brothers came from jake and elroy you have to see it on dvd.
I am looking at one a 180 here in australia.
What part of the world are you in.
I've probably got a bit of viking blood in me from the ancestors ireland .
Good luck with the welding keep your forearms and chest just under the helmet butoned and covered or you'll be red as ,burnt from the welding ray's getting the welders v from the neck down.
Sorry mboki got confused , appolology to magnus any how i have used most commercial migs esab hitachi lincoln boc cig miller they're all good in the three phase 400 plus volt range once you have tuned them in.
The single phase 240volts machines are ok but you have to be very fussy precise with the tuning bit ,they are not as forgiving i think if your out a touch as with the big fellas.
Thanks for your answeres. I bought a used Esab miggy 125 3-phase instead. Got a god price incl atan tube and new replaced gun and hose (or what they are called in english..)
I´m in Gothenburg Sweden. Short summer, mostley cold and rainy weather here. Can be cold in winter but no polar bears though They put salt on the roads to keep them de-iced in winter and thats why our cars get corroded and thats why I have to put new sills on my BMW 2002-74 for the second time. Lasted for about 10 years..
