How much is a few.jesus wept. They are pricey! i only got the one odd job coming in. Anyone spare a few for some ££?
Im not quite sure. Id imagine 5-6 at most. How much is a few.
I have some but I have no intentions of giving it away. How much you need.
Perhaps this will do the job:

48% Nickel instead of %50. Not much difference in my opinion.
And the larger diameter of the wire is 0,6 mm but you can roll 2 or 3 wires together...
I dont think thats welding wire
Is not sold as welding wire obviously... but I am pretty sure it will do the job, because chemically speaking it has what you need, 48% nickel and 52% Iron. Ni Fe 50 is 50% nickel and 50 % Iron but in the welding procedure a serious dilution occurs so the 2% difference will have no effect at all.
Anyone who read this lines, please take in mind that this wire perhaps works or doesn't... I have not tried this wire to weld cast iron but if in a near future I need to I will try and post the results.
Regarding the term "welding wire", on occasions we can use thin cuts of whatever we are welding as "welding wire"... technically speaking we are not using "welding wire" but we all now that it works... The same happens with mig wire...
When Tig wire is available at a reasonable price I use it without any doubt, but in situations like this I will try a different approach.
By the way, how much costs a pack of NiFe 50 rods?

Sometimes, and I dont really know in this case, weld metal is substantially different to the plate grade. 308L and Mild Steel mig wires are very different to their plate equivalents. As a rule of thumb the weld metal is about 1 to 2% of a fabrication, therefore, for every 1000 tonnes of mild steel made you only need to make 10 or 20 tonnes of weld metal and it takes longer to make so the costs are higher. What is the reason a welding wire can be so expensive and this so cheap? Seems to me there must be more than simple markup at work, if they are chemically identical.
Why not try silicon or aluminium bronze @Gizmo.Y
If not, I can put you intouch with a supplier who may stock something similar to what you need, They sometimes sell a kilo as minimum order
